| Pre-Work | Cut | Of Binding Material 1 3/4" Strips on Bias (Approx 4 Cuts) |
| Join on angle. Need approximately 2 yards. 18" piece is the smallest that can be used. | ||
| Fold in 1/2 and press (NOT IRON). | ||
| If you do not do BIAS - you will be required to recut. | ||
| On Outer Fabric fuse Shapeflex 101 to wrong side | ||
| Make sure to press and not iron so no wrinkles or bubbles. | ||
| Allow to cool fully before quilting. | ||
| Make a quilt sandwich of outer, Soft & Stable & Lining | ||
| Quilt no tighter than 1/2" and no larger than 1" wide. | ||
| Repeat for the Tongue | ||
| Scotch Guarding | If you are going to treat the quilted shoe, do it before cutting/assembly begins so it is fully dry before class. | |

| Skill Details: | Must complete pre-work to attend class which includes quilting the fabrics to be used in construction. |
