You may have noticed that we are trying to have a “special day” every month. In October, what else could we do other than a “Spooktacular Halloween?” Tomorrow we will have special prices on all autumn and Christmas fabrics. And – if you come into the shop in a costume, you get an additional 10% off everything in the shop, including anything that is already on sale! (Except sewing machines that are already on sale – but you can always try to negotiate with Amy – just sayin’.) So we are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow for Spooktacular savings on everything – just remember to come in wearing some Halloween!
Class and Event Schedule
Friday, November 3: Easy Holiday Table Runner. This makes a great gift, and to make it really, really, really easy – we have the entire project kitted, including backing, binding, and batting! We still have room for 2 more people, so call soon for your place in class.
Saturday, November 4: Mastery Class. You will cover Workbook II – bring your machine and all of your feet, because you will be working on decorative stitching. (No embroidery unit for this class.)
Wednesday, November 8 and 15: Judy Niemeyer Twinkle Star taught by Certified Instructor Judy Bowers. This is a beginner-friendly project, so if you have not tried paper piecing, or would like to learn the Judy Niemeyer technique, this class is definitely for you. There are a few open spaces, so let us know if you are interested. We have a sample in the shop, if you want to see the project. It is lovely!!
Monday, November 13: Cheryl White will teach an advanced Stack ‘N Whack class – also known as “One Block Wonder.” Her first class was a lot of fun, so this one promises to be a good day as well.
We will close early on Wednesday, November 22nd at 1:00pm, and will not reopen until Monday, November 27th. We will all be spending our Thanksgiving with our families, and we wish you all a
Happy Thanksgiving!
Forest Floor #3 has been moved from Friday, November 17 to Friday, December 1st. Sorry for any inconvenience, but there was a scheduling conflict, and all the students in attendance last month agreed that this would work well for them.
Saturday, December 2nd: Mastery Class will work on Workbook III.
Tuesday, December 5th: Judy Niemeyer Sew-in with Judy Bowers.
A new session of Beginning Quilting will begin January 26th next year. If you know anyone who would like to learn how to create a quilt, or if you are a new quilter who thinks they might need a little help, give us a call. We have a lot of fun in that class, and we all learn lots!
Note: For those of you who may have seen some of the beautiful quilts at Guild Show and Tell that are curved piecing – we have the QCR rulers back in stock. They are a lot of fun, and can be used for many different designs. If you are interested in a curved piecing class, we would love to hear from you, and would happily schedule one after the first of the year.
See you tomorrow for a Spooktacular Halloween Special Day!
