Surgical Mask Update

Hello Fellow Sewists and Quilters:
It is my honor to keep you updated on the efforts to supply our community with surgical masks.

First a huge thank you!  Please give yourself a big hug since we can't do it for you! :)

To date 966 masks have been donated to the cause.  Over 500 of those went to Chi St Vincent!  Then we moved on to National Park Hospital.  National Park Hospital received a shipment of N95 masks yesterday and called to say they did not need masks at this time.  We gave masks to the POA Public Works employees because they have to ride multiples in vehicles and need to be masked because they can not social distance in their jobs.

We are now seeking to ensure the needs of local nursing care and assisted living facilities have their needs met.

CHANGE IN DROP OFF LOCATION:  PLEASE do not take masks to Balboa Baptist Church after this writing.

Drop off is now just a mile from there at 15 Realeza Court (Amy Hoyt's House) at mile marker 13 on De Soto turn onto Realeza Court.  Third house on the left.  There is a bench on her front porch, just put them there!  We will combine them all at the shop for distribution.

NOTES:  Current requests are that the front and back of the mask be different colored fabric (or bra cup!) since after lunch users are having a hard time telling what went against their face.

Keep Sewing!  Everyone needs a mask!
