Summer Signup - LET'S HAVE SOME FUN!
Many of you have admired the Tuffets in the entrance. We teach that class once or twice a year and we've added one for June 22 & 23. We have to ensure to have the forms and patterns for this class, so sign up early!
We are did a very open twist on Mastery classes open to new and older machine users. We have transitioned to new machine sales only. Sharon Harrold is our trainer and if you have been invited twice to a class and have not been able to come, it will be up to you to schedule a time with her. The new format is two days in a row to keep ladies from having to bring their machine back to the shop twice.
All of the current Mastery workbooks on now on the BerninaUSA.com web site now and anyone can work through these books at their leisure. Videos are also linked for additional support.
Embroidery Classes:
Two monthly! Barbara's third Tuesday class is different each month. Last month we did the spoolies stabilizer holder and this month there will be an embroidery support day to finish any project you have started (like the spoolies). So if you need help, get signed up.
Kimberbell with Sharon is on Wed June 24th. It will be a cute pillow from the new Citrus collection. The shop is now carrying Kimberbell fat quarters and pre-cuts with more arriving this month.
Ruler Classes:
Because the Westalee Sampler Class was interrupted after the first class, it will begin again on June 16. If you were already registered, you will be moved into this session and can come to the first one again or pick up on session two. Michelle has room for 1 or 2 more, so if you are interested in this BOM, and in learning Quilt As You Go technique, you may register for this class either on-line or in the shop. It will meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 12:30-4 pm.
A new Continuum Class (also known as the Westalee Rulerwork Quilt Class in a Bag) will begin June 26th. This is the BOM in shades of gray that is hanging in the shop. For anyone wishing to sharpen their skills in free motion quilting using rulers and templates, this is a wonderful class. You learn great techniques as well as completing a beautiful project. Also, if you want to learn the techniques, but do not wish to make a large quilt, the same designs can be made into a lovely wall hanging - layout available.
There are 3 Beginning Quilting classes start and now on the calendar. The first is a Tuesday afternoon class from 3:30 - 5pm, starting on June 30th. The second is going to be held on Monday mornings from 10 - 11:30, starting date TBA. And there will be a third session on Friday afternoons, beginning September 11 (Tuesdays 3:30-5pm). If you, or anyone you know, is interested in learning the essentials of cutting, piecing, assembling, and finishing a quilt, this 8 class course will cover all the basics, and you will have either a throw or crib size quilt completed when the class is over! Classes need to have 3 to make, so invite a friend to join in!
The Teapot BOM has resumed, and will meet on the first Friday of every month from 10 am until 1:30 pm.
Bernina Academy has been moved to September 14 and 15 with the Overlocker lab on the 16th. We are still targeting a live training to come in, but it will be one person to a machine and a maximum of ten. If you were signed up, you have been moved to those dates. If they do not work for you, please let the shop know and we will reimburse you.
Our Anniversary Day Sale was the largest one day of sales since the shop opened. Again, thank you for coming in and supporting the shop. LOADS of new fabric coming in every day. Like us and follow us on Facebook to ensure you know what's going on!
Come see us at Hickory Hill!
