Hickory Hill Calendar Update
This week – Wednesday’s class for Beautiful Backgrounds at 1:00 has been moved to March 11. There was one person in the class; and we need 3 to have the classes make.
Kimberbell My Punny Valentine has been canceled due to lack of participation and we are tabling further scheduling for Kimberbell events until they can get more inspired pieces for us to review.
Beginning Quilting just started and we could get a person in if they wanted to do the work to catch up and be ready for this Friday’s second meeting.
SATURDAY 1/29/22 IS BONUS BAG DAY! This is our first Bonus Bag sale day of 2022, so put those bags in the car because you must them to shop on Saturday. AND we have more bags if you did not get one yet! They can be purchased online under Bonus Bag 2022!
Inspire Club Session #2 will be Wednesday, February 2nd.
Continuum participants have two make up session scheduled for February 3 and 17 at 1:00 each day.
Mastery Day 1 (Machine Training) is 2/8/22 and Mastery Day 2 (Embroidery Training) is 2/9/22.
For those who missed the barn block quilting sessions, we have combined block 5 and 6 and put the date on February 11 at 1:00.
ADDED: Beginner Free Motion Quilting with Westalee Rulers. If you have never used rulers for quilting, this is the class for you. Michelle will help you get your machine set up properly and teach you the basics of using a ruler for free motion quilting. Signups are open online and in the store.
Westalee Marvelous Motifs is a follow-on class to the beginner session where you will learn how to navigate those blocks with ease using the specialty motif rulers.
GAME NIGHT AND POTLUCK!!! You must sign up. The first 24 slots are golden! Thursday 2/24 from 5-7. We will have chili as the theme. I’m doing white chili so our non-beef and pork folks will have choices. We will need all the chili fixin’s like Fritos, cornbread, onions!!! Bring those muffin tins so you can sample all the different types of chili. BRING ONE regift item for the prize table.
Open Sew/Charity Sew Day/Potluck (2/26) – Every 4th Saturday (Except Sept, Nov & Dec where it was moved back 1 week due to conflicts). Wanda will begin working with the volunteers at 10:30 and they can work till they want to go home. Bring something for lunch to share since usually everyone is here at lunch time. She has found some super fun scrappy ideas to use up all those scraps and miscuts in the back. (Hint: It involves adding machine tape!)
We will start Advanced Beginner on March 18th.
