Bernina Road Show Friday 8/7 (10-12) Free Event
Meet Kari Curley. Kari will be the host for our Bernina Road Show - What's New from Bernina University on August 7th from 10-12. This is a free event to let customers see all the newest in technology released at the 2026 BU in New Orleans. We will have the new machines set up so that everyone can see and explore the new features along with the new Giant Magnetic Hoop, the two new sticky hoops and the 9mm Walking Foot. Kari’s love affair with the BERNINA brand began in the 1990’s when she received her beloved 1230 model. It’s a love affair that is still going strong today. Her goal is to empower BERNINA owners, so they know everything their machines are capable of and love them as much as she does. She enjoys matching new owners with their perfect new BERNINA machine.
She is the owner of the popular and long-running social media platform known as BERNINA Land which provides support and inspiration to over 5000 worldwide members. Her group can be found at www.berninaland.groups.io
Her passion for teaching has led Kari to teach new owner classes on sewing and embroidery machines, overlockers, and software programs for local southern California dealers for over 20 years. She is well-versed in BERNINA Embroidery Software 9 and known for her software classes and expertise in helping neophyte computer owners become fearless when working with BERNINA Embroidery software.
Her specialties include technique sewing, machine embroidery, quilting, and anything that requires technology. She has professional work experience in costuming, operating a custom drapery and bedding workroom, custom long-arm quilting, and software trouble-shooting and instruction.
She is a member of the BERNINA Event Team and has also been a BERNINA Trade Show Team member since 2018 working events, local and national shows such as Sew Expo, PIQF, and Houston’s Quilt Festival. She still can’t believe she gets paid to talk about BERNINA!
In addition to being passionate about BERNINA, Kari is also a “Parrothead” who loves craft beer, scuba diving in exotic locales, traveling with her oldest son (32 countries and counting.) She lives on a one-acre orchard property in southern California with her rescue dogs, Boonie and Maggie Moo.
